Old Ford Fire Department Rodeo 30th annual rodeo next weekend

MARTIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina volunteer fire department is inviting people to a rodeo.

The Old Ford Fire Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual rodeo on February 16 and 17.

This event is one of the largest fundraisers for the fire department.

The rodeo is at the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center.

Officials say attendees will see bull riding, team roping, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, bareback, and saddle bronc riding.

The fire department says this family-friendly event is a great opportunity to meet the cowboys and cowgirls, learn to rope, ride a horse, and maybe even pet a live bull.

Tickets are not sold online. You can purchase the day of at the door or at the following locations:

  • Lee Chevrolet in Washington
  • Mario’s Boots in Greenville
  • Porky’s Restaurant in Williamston
  • Tracie’s Boots and Buckles in Wake Forest

Gates open Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Saturday afternoon gates will open at 11 a.m. for the show that starts at 1 p.m.
