OFFICIALS: Residents along Atlantic Beach Causeway expect water outage tonight

ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. (WITN) – Those living along a section of the Eastern Carolina Coast should expect a water outage followed by a water boil advisory Monday night into Tuesday morning, according to officials.

The Town of Atlantic Beach says another scheduled water outage is set to happen along parts of the Atlantic Beach Causeway and Fort Macon Road.

WITN is told the outage will start at 10 p.m. tonight and continue until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

Once water is restored, residents are advised to boil all water used for human/ animal consumption or use bottled water.

Officials say boiling water for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
