Officals: Teenager injured in late-night Rocky Mount shooting

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city are investigating a late-night shooting.

Officals say they responded to a shooting on the 600 block of N. Wesleyan Blvd in Rocky Mount. They say the shooting occurred around 12:30 am, and a 19-year-old was injured.

According to officials, the 19-year-old was transported to ECU Health Medical Center with a gunshot wound and does have life-threating injuries.

The Rocky Mount Criminal Investigations Division and Forensics Technicians also responded to the call and are assisting the police department with the investigation.
