Officals say they’re investigating after six guns found in Elizabeth City

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina city is investigating after multiple guns were seized from three men.

According to officials, on Friday around 2:45 pm, the Elizabeth City Police Department responded to a call of three males armed and wearing facemasks near the intersection of Harney and Cypress Street.

Upon arrival, officers were told the men left the area on foot, running towards Factory Street.

Officers then searched the area and found two long guns and four handguns. According to officals no one has been taken into custody, and no injuries were reported.

Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Elizabeth City Police Department.
