North Carolina ferries back in service

All routes are now operational.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – All of North Carolina’s ferry routes are back in service.

Many were shut down due to Tropical Storm Debby’s impacts yesterday.

According to a post on “X” from the NCDOT Ferry Division, on August 9th at 8:30 a.m., all routes are now operational.

This includes:

  • Southport-Fort Fisher
  • Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach
  • Bayview-Aurora
  • Cedar Island-Ocracoke
  • Swan quarter-Ocracoke
  • Hatteras – Ocracoke
  • Ocracoke Express Passenger Ferry
  • Currituck-Knotts Island
