WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Troopers say no one was injured when a tractor-trailer crashed into a yard around midnight.
It happened at the intersection of Highway 32 and Highway 99 in Washington County.
The Highway Patrol says the 18-wheeler was headed west on Highway 99 when it went off the road straight ahead and hit a tree in a yard. Fortunately, the tree stopped the truck before it hit the home.
The hood of the truck ended up in the person’s yard.
No word on exactly what caused the crash.
