ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – Rocky Mount police are investigating a deadly wreck that happened Tuesday evening.

Police said the wreck happened on South Grace Street between Western Avenue and Hammond Street where a car traveling south the rear of another vehicle, hit a utility pole and then a home.

Freddie Alston, 75, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police no one in the other car or the home was injured.

Police said they are still investigating what caused the crash.
