New Bern police arrest three after weapons complaint

NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) — Three Eastern Carolina children were arrested today on charges of selling illegal drugs and firearms.

New Bern police were called to a weapons complaint at 1:00 p.m. near the F building in Craven Terrace.

Police say they were able to track down three under-aged children based on information from the caller.

One child was found with a gun and illegal drugs and charged with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm by a minor, and resist, obstruct, and delay, police say.

Police say another child also had a gun and that charges are pending in that case.

The third child also has charges pending.

Police say they are continuing to investigate what happened.
