Name of teenage girl who died at Jacksonville pool confirmed

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The name of a teenager who died earlier this month at a community pool in Jacksonville has been confirmed.

Documents obtained by WITN say that 15-year-old Arieana Perrin-Robbins died at the Holiday City Community Homes pool on June 1st.

When it happened, police would not release the child’s name because of her age.

Onslow County Schools say Perrin-Robbins was a ninth grader at White Oak High School.

Last week police said that a preliminary investigation shows the teen’s death did not appear to be criminal and they were awaiting autopsy results to confirm her cause of death.

When first responders arrived at the pool, the victim had been pulled from the water and bystanders were performing CPR. The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the death of the teenager, the management for Holiday City sent a text message out to residents saying they were in need of a seasonal pool attendant, according to multiple residents.
