Murder suspect facing more charges after deadly Goldsboro shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – There are more charges against a Goldsboro man who is accused of killing another man this past weekend in a store parking lot.

Goldsboro police have charged Hakeem Coley with attempted first degree murder, in addition to first degree murder.

Police say they learned there was a second victim in Saturday morning’s shooting on East Ash Street in the parking lot of Kim’s Beauty Supplies.

Julian Edwards, 55, was not injured in the shooting, according to police.

Killed in the shooting was Kristopher Faison, 26, of Goldsboro. Coley was arrested the night of the shooting but so far police haven’t released a motive.

Coley remains in jail without bond.
