GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Multiple homes have been damaged following a storm system in Greene County.
Greene County Emergency Management Director Brock Kearney says that at least four homes have been damaged by a possible tornado. One of those homes was destroyed.
Kearney says that there were no injuries.
The damage to the homes is in the area of Fort Run Road as well as along Highway 58 North.
He says two farms also suffered damage.
On Griffin Road, west of Snow Hill, the top of a barn was lifted up and then set down about 25 feet away. Firefighters say they have yet to find the rest of the building.
