Medic: 9 people evaluated after school bus crash in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Crews are responding to a school bus crash in west Charlotte on Tuesday morning, officials confirmed.

The wreck happened on Tuckaseegee Road at Calton Lane around 7 a.m.

Three vehicles appeared to have been involved in the crash. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the bus had West Mecklenburg High School students on board.

A white SUV and blue pickup truck were towed from the scene.

Medic said nine people were evaluated for injuries. All nine sustained only minor injuries.

Meanwhile, CMS confirmed that eight students were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The remaining students were taken to school on the same bus.
