DUDLEY, N.C. (WITN) – A massive fire in Wayne County is expected to continue to burn for the next few days.

Authorities say the fire remains contained, but there are still areas of the site that is still on fire.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. When it is safe, fire investigators go through the site to look for a possible cause.
The fire was reported around 1:30 am Saturday by a passerby. At first, 17 agencies were called and eventually, they were joined by another 21 from outside of Wayne County.
