Man wanted for Edenton shooting that injured one

EDENTON, N.C. (WITN) – Police are asking the public for help in finding a man they say is wanted in connection with a shooting in Edenton on Sunday.

Edenton police say 44-year-old Jvaughn Griffin has active arrest warrants for assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill, possession of a firearm by felon and discharging a firearm in town limits.

Authorities say at 12:19 am, they responded to Tyler Run Apartments in the 200 block of Tyler Lane in reference to shots fired.

They say while investigating, they were notified by ECU Health Police that a person had arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police say Griffin is also currently on active probation.
