Man convicted in Onslow County pawn shop theft

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man who prosecutors say was caught on camera stealing was found guilty by a jury.

Ronald Young was convicted of felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, and felony attempted obtaining property by false pretense.

The trial for the Duplin County man ended Thursday in Onslow County.

Young was convicted for stealing 44 rings, valued at more than $14,000 from in value at the Hollywood Pawn and Jewelry in Richlands back on August 25, 2022.

Because Young is already serving time for selling fentanyl, he will now have to spend at least the next 28-1/2 years in prison for all his crimes.
