CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man is being charged with murder following a shooting in Craven County that left one person dead.

Saturday, just after 11 a.m., Craven County deputies went to a report of a shooting on Clark Road. When they arrived, deputies found 45-year-old David Jenkins suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS responded and Jenkins was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators later identified 65-year-old Orlando Campbell as a suspect. Campbell was arrested and charged with an open count of murder. He is being held in the Craven County Detention Facility without bond pending his first court appearance.
