Man charged in two armed robberies, one attempted robbery in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – A man has been charged with multiple armed robberies in one Eastern Carolina county.

Rocky Mount police and Nash County deputies arrested Trimaine Williams.

In Rocky Mount, he is charged with two robberies with a dangerous weapon, an attempted robbery, as well as resit, obstruct, dely and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say the 33-year-old man is also charged with another robbery in Sharpsburg and an attempted robbery in Nash County.

Rocky Mount police say Williams first tried to rob the EP Mart on Raleigh Road around 4:30 a.m., robbed the Speedway on Bethlehem Road around 6:30 a.m. and then held up the EP Mart on South Wesleyan Boulevard around 11:20 a.m., all on Wednesday.

Williams is being held in the Edgecombe County jail on a $38,500 secured bond.
