KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) -An Eastern Carolina police department is remembering one of their own, 25 years after he died while on duty.

Kinston Officer Harley Guy passed away on May 22, 1999, from a heart attack while assisting a fellow officer at a nature station.

At the time, Guy was a park ranger with the police department, and before that, he was a beat officer in the downtown area.

The department says Guy worked for them for 17 years.

Today they honor and remember Officer Harley Guy.
