LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) -A Kinston man was arrested Friday and charged with multiple sexual offenses with a child.

Joseph Wade, 27, has been charged with sexual activity by substitute parent/custodian, statutory sex offense with child under 15, and Indecent liberties with a child.

Deputies say the sexual allegations concerning a juvenile victim had been dating back to incidents during May 2021 and August 2022.

Wade has been put behind bars at the Lenoir County Jail with no bond.

His initial court appearance is pending.
