Join the movement: F3 Washington Exodus Race 5k/10k

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) -Save the date, March 30th, and mark your calendars to be a part of a powerful day of unity to help our community with the struggles of addiction, depression, and substance abuse.

F3 Washington’s second annual 5k/10k Exodus road race will take place at Mac Hodges Festival Park located at 119 E Water St, Washington, NC 27889, USA with the full intention of being more than just a race but a symbol of hope and resilience. The 5k/10k will both start at 8:30 a.m. along with a free community breakfast provided by Haw Branch Church of Christ to start the morning.

WITN spoke to F3 spokesman Seth Edwards and Austin Mitchell who was impacted by this event, along with Dr. Brian Ward at Eastern Pines Dental who is a sponsor of the event on ENC at 3 Wednesday explained what people need to know about this event.

“F3 stands for fitness, fellowship, and faith and it is a national workout group for men to foster community leadership,” Edward said.

On the show, Mitchell explains how being a part of this movement impacted him and the members of F3 were there for him during the hardest times of his life. This is the message he wants to convey to others who may be struggling with addiction.

Last year’s event raised $20,000, and with every dollar raised, inching closer to helping those in need.

Registration is open with a fee of $25 for the 5k and $35 for the 10k.
