Jim’s First Alert Forecast: Warm winds for St. Patrick’s Day; Rain coming tonight

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) Gusty southwest winds on Friday will drive the mercury well into the 70s under partly cloudy skies. Winds will increase late AM into the afternoon and evening, with gusts to 30 mph at times. The daytime hours are looking dry, with showers arriving from the west after 7:00pm and into the overnight with heaviest expected along I-95.

Most of the rain will move out of ENC by mid morning Saturday, but the coastal areas could see some raindrops through midday. Once the low pressure system moves out to sea, some clouds will stick around for a bit then we’re back to winds from the NW bringing chilly 50ish temps for the start of next week.

Friday

Warm and windy. Intervals of clouds and sunshine in the morning with more clouds for later in the day. High 75F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph.

Friday Night

Cloudy and cool with rain moving in after 8:00pm. Low 52F. Winds W at 12 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90%.

Saturday

Morning raindrops to peeks of sun after midday. High 60F. Winds NW at 7 to 12 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Sunday

Mostly sunny and cool with a high of 51 degrees. Winds: NW 5-10
