Jim’s First Alert Forecast: Quiet, warm start to the week

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A beautiful sunrise with high thin clouds will greet you as you head out the door for the start of your work week on Monday. A light southeasterly breeze will lead to balmy and warm conditions by lunchtime Monday.

By late Monday afternoon, a complex of storms moving through the Deep South will approach us late Monday night and Tuesday morning giving us a few showers to start the day Tuesday.

We’ll also see a heat-up starting on Monday in the 70s then Tuesday kicks off a few days in the 80s. Then this coming week has the potential to end with rain, thunder and lightning by late Thursday into Friday.

Morning sunshine to increasing PM clouds. High of 74F. Winds: S 7-12.

Monday Night

Cloudy and mild with scattered showers after midnight. Low 62F. Winds: S 7-12. Rain chance: 40%.

Tuesday

A few morning showers to PM sunshine. High of 79F. South 5-10. Rain chance: 30%.

Wednesday

Mostly sunny and warm. High of 84F. Winds: S 7-12.
