J.H. Rose High School football helmets worth about $22,500 stolen, police investigating

The Greenville Police Department says leads have been developed, but no arrests have been made.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina police department is looking for those responsible for breaking into a high school and stealing thousands of dollars worth of athletic equipment.

The Greenville Police Department says 45 football helmets worth about $22,500 were stolen from J.H. Rose High School athletic field house last Friday night.

Police say they were called to the school on West Arlington Boulevard the next day around noon.

Investigators are working with the Pitt County School System and looking through security camera footage, according to the police department.

Officers say leads have been developed, but no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers (252) 758-7777. Officials say reward money is available for information that leads to an arrest, and information can be provided anonymously.
