GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The J.H. Rose boys got up at the half and pulled away in the second half for a 48-31 win over rival D.H. Conley on Friday night at home.
The win moves Rose to 7-6 on the season. 3-1 in the Big Carolina.
“It feels good we started out hot at the beginning then things settled down but we play really good defense. Changed everything in the second half and we got the win,” says Rampants junior guard Justin Grimes, “We got a lot of chemistry. The beginning of the season we didn’t really have a lot and we dropped a few games. But towards the middle of the season we have gained a lot of chemistry hanging outside of basketball. “
The D.H. Conley girls won the same match up earlier in the evening. They got up early and never looked back as they rolled to win at J.H. Rose 61-31.
Conley is now 9-3 this season.
