ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – The City of Rocky Mount is sharing pictures and video of Debby’s impacts.

The video shows a fast-moving Tar River. The latest predicitons from the National Weather Service show the river cresting just over 23 feet (moderate flood stage) early Saturday morning

We’re told that city crews dealt with isolated issues related to high water on roadways, service disruptions due to tree limbs taking down power lines, and other storm-related issues.

The city says it saw more than a dozen road closures that affected areas of the city due to water and other obstructions.

Officials are keeping an eye on water levels at the river and reservoir.
