Hyde County EMS gets funds for new ambulance

HYDE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A county here in the east received a generous donation towards emergency response.

Hyde County commissioners announced today they received a $50,000 donation from Rose Acre Farms during their February meeting. These funds will go toward purchasing a new ambulance for the county EMS.

The county is one of the largest in the state geographically, and with no hospital, ambulances must travel to adjacent counties for emergency room services.

Board Chairman Earl Pugh, Jr. thanked Rose Acre for their donation and said that this will go to meet the needs of the county residents in need.
