CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Sunday, according to FlightAware.

Around 5 p.m., the airport released a statement elaborating that severe weather was to blame for Sunday’s travel woes.
“Severe weather has caused disruption to flights across the country,” the airport wrote. “#CLTairport encourages passengers to check flight status with their airline prior to arriving at the airport.”

Comparatively, on Saturday, FlightAware reported 136 cancellations and 746 delays at CLT.
