Horse rescued after found walking down Greenville street

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Greenville’s Animal Protective Services Unit is used to dealing with dogs and cats, but a horse?

That’s what happened on Tuesday when they received a call about a horse walking down the middle of MacGregor Downs Road.

It seems “Bobo” ran away from home after getting into a scuffle with a stallion.

Officers were able to track down the owner, but with a broken shoulder, they couldn’t lead “Bobo” home.

While one officer followed behind in a vehicle with flashers on, another walked the horse home.

“Bobo” made it safely home and he was put in a pasture without the stallion in it.
