HAVELOCK, N.C. (WITN) – There’s been another sewage spill in Havelock.
The city says the latest spill happened this morning from a manhole on East Main Street. Some 4,500 gallons of sewage made its way into Slocum Creek
Havelock says it happened because of a mechanical failure of a contractor’s bypass pump.
The North Carolina Division of Water Resources is looking into the spill.
