HAVELOCK, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina police department says it took them less than 20 minutes to make an arrest for a stolen gun case.
Havelock police say around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday they got a call about a stolen gun from a home on Cedar Ridge Lane. The caller was able to give a description of the suspect and police say they saturated the area.
Less than 20 minutes later, Isaiah Calhoun was in custody.
He’s been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, and altering/removing a firearm serial number.
The 27-year-old Calhoun is in jail on a $25,000 secured bond.
