PARIS, FRANCE (WITN) – Greenville’s professional tennis player Tommy Paul seized the bronze medal in the men’s doubles in Olympics tennis with Taylor Fritz Saturday.
According to Team USA, Paul grew up playing on clay courts in Greenville. He later graduated from J.H. Rose High School.
Paul and Fritz took home the bronze medal after defeating Tommy Machac and Adam Pavlasek of Czechia, 6-3, 6-2, on Saturday.
This makes the second medal the U.S. Team took on Saturday, after Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek lost to fell to Australians Matt Ebden and John Peers in the Gold medal match earlier on Saturday, NBC Olympics says.
