Greenville starts street repaving project next week

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) -Construction for Greenville’s 2024 Street Rehabilitation and Preservation project will begin next week.

The city says it’s part of their annual contract to maintain and upgrade streets throughout Greenville. Sections of nearly eighty streets across the city will have work done either to repave and upgrade sections or to better preserve the road.

According to the city, work will generally take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some weekend work if it proves necessary. This work is expected to be finished in the early fall.

The following streets are being repaved:

  • Dogwood Dr. ‐ Lakewood Dr. to Pineview Dr.
  • Eden Pl. ‐ Crockett Dr. to Tryon Dr.
  • Kingston Ci. ‐ Cul‐De‐Sac to Se Greenville Blvd.
  • Kristin Dr. ‐ Alice Dr. to Greenville Blvd.
  • Lakewood Dr. ‐ End Cog Street Maintenance to Evans St.
  • Lincoln Dr. ‐ Bancroft Ave. to Bancroft Ave.
  • Line Ave. ‐ Pavement Joint North of N. Village Dr. to Chestnut St.
