Greenville police investigating Monday afternoon homicide

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police say a man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Greenville.

Police say they responded to a shots fired call in the area of West 3rd and White streets. They found 24-year-old Jahsijah Jahson dead in the yard of a home on West 3rd Street.

The man, who police said did not live in the West 3rd Street area, had several pending armed robbery and conspiracy charges in Pitt County. Two of those charges were from 2017, while another pair was from last year.

Jahson’s death appears to have been targeted, police say and ask anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 252-758-7777.
