Greenville man facing drug charges after months-long investigation

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Greenville man is facing multiple drug charges after a months-long investigation involving two sheriff’s offices,

According to deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Jaquan Gibbs of Greenville was arrested on January 27th in Wake County after a joint investigation with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say that Gibbs was charged with two counts of trafficking opium or heroin, two felony counts of conspiracy, three counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gibbs was taken to the Wake County Jail where he was later released after posting bond.
