Greenville Country Club hosts golf tournament for Boys & Girls Club

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – It was a beautiful day out at one country club here in the east, as golfers from all around gathered to tee off for a cause close to their hearts

The golf tournament, held at the Greenville Country Club, was organized by local businesses and community leaders aimed at supporting the Boys and Girls Club in Pitt County. It is an organization known for its dedication to empowering youth through education, mentorship, and recreational activities. Golfer, Corey Brown’s local company Piedmont Service Group sponsored the event and says it’s events like these that make it easy to give back.

“So we are an HVAC company and we have been in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club for about 15 or 20 years, taking care and managing their HVAC systems throughout eastern North Carolina,” Brown said.

The turnout was impressive with around 30 groups participating to raise funds that go directly towards essential programs and resources for children who benefit from the Boys and Girls Club. According to Corey, he has two goals for today, one to raise money for the club and two…

“To try and make birdies, as many as possible, and network with people in the community,” Brown said.
