Greene Early College High School ranked among nation’s best for 2024

GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) -One Eastern Carolina high school has been ranked among the 2024 best high schools by the U.S. News & World Report.

The Greene Early College High School is ranked 231 out of 18,000 schools that are ranked at the national, state, and local level.

“Greene Early College is a special place to learn and work,” Principal Taylor Moore said. “At Greene Early College High School, our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an engaging and stimulating environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We aim to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to succeed during high school and in life after High School.”

The U.S. News & World Report focuses on six factors when ranking the best High Schools, such as college readiness; reading, math, and science proficiency; reading, math, and science performance; underserved student performance; college curriculum breadth; and graduation rates.
