LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Greene County man is facing multiple charges stemming from an assault in La Grange.
According to deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Ryan Everett of La Grange was arrested Monday after deputies say he was involved in an assault on Hadley Street.
Deputies say that they found Everett driving in the La Grange area and pulled him over. Deputies say that Everett refused to listen to their commands and then ran away from them on foot.
According to deputies they then found Everett at a house on South Charles Street, where he was arrested.
After Everett’s arrest deputies say they used a K9 to search a home on Summit Street where they say they found a gun and ammunition.
Everett was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony possession of a firearm with altered serial number, felony breaking and entering to terrorize, felony extortion, felony obstruction of justice, felony discharging a firearm to incite fear, misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor discharging a firearm within city limits, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
Everett was taken to the Lenoir County Jail where he is being held without bond.
