GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – Police in Eastern Carolina are investigating a shooting after a person went to the hospital with gunshot wounds on the leg Friday night.

On Aug. 2, 2024, around 11:57 p.m., Goldsboro Police were notified by the UNC Health Wayne Police Department that a man arrived at the Emergency Room suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau responded to the scene. According to the Goldsboro Police, the victim, Tyquan Coley, 32, of Goldsboro, was uncooperative and would not tell law enforcement where or how the incident occurred.

The police say the victim was stabilized, and the investigation is still ongoing.
