Fundraisers setup for victims killed in Onslow County shooting outside store

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – The families of two teenagers killed a week ago in Onslow County have set up fundraisers to help with funeral expenses.

Christian Peterson, 18, and Kalib Bostick, 19, were gunned down outside the 53 Mini Mart and Tobacco on Burgaw Highway. Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a drug deal that turned into a robbery.

Peterson was laid to rest on Monday, while services for Bostick have not been finalized, according to the funeral home.

Two people, 20-year-old Wali Johnson, of Hubert, and a 17-year-old, have been charged in the murder of the two, along with wounding a third man.
