LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Heavy rains cause flash flooding in one Eastern Carolina county on Saturday.

Pictures shared by Lenoir County Emergency Services shows the flooding in and around the Kinston area following Saturday afternoons storm.

Kinston fire & rescue as well as police helped with the rescue of several people who tried to drive through flooded waters.

No one was injured.

Areas that flooded include:
-Highway 11 N. in front of Covation Bio
-Morning Side Dr. at Summit Ave.
-Vernon Ave. in front of Grainger Stadium
-Adkin Branch at Plaza Blvd. & N. Queen St.
-Plaza Blvd. at Market St.
-N. McLewean St. at E. Washington Ave.
