Few answers as Washington High School principal gets new job

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) – There’s been a change at the top of one Eastern Carolina high school, less than a year after the last one.

Beaufort County Schools confirms that Isaac Lister is no longer the principal at Washington High School.

Superintendent Matt Cheeseman says Lister is now serving with the Alternative Learning Program.

Lister came to Washington High School last summer after serving as assistant principal of Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City.

WITN has asked the superintendent when the reassignment took place, whether Lister had any issues, and who is serving as principal of the high school.
