PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A month-long investigation into the sale of drugs has landed a Farmville man in jail.
Pitt County deputies say Solomon Alves was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop on Askew Road.
During a search of the man’s vehicle, they found narcotics and cash.
The 32-year-old Alves was charged with possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana, a maintainng a dwelling for controlled substances.
Deputies say Alves was also wanted for possession of a stolen gun from Greenville.
Alves was released after posting a $50,000 secured bond.
