Edenton police want citizens’ assistance in locating shooting suspect

EDENTON, N.C. (WITN) – Police want the public to help them find the man wanted in connection with a shooting in Edenton on Sunday.

Edenton police say 44-year-old Jvaughn Griffin has active arrest warrants for assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill, possession of a firearm by felon and discharging a firearm in town limits.

Authorities say at 12:19 am, they responded to Tyler Run Apartments in the 200 block of Tyler Lane in reference to shots fired.

They say while investigating, they were notified by ECU Health Police that an individual had arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police say Griffin is also currently on active probation.
