GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) -Greenville is quickly becoming known for its pharmaceutical industry with more than 2,400 people working in the field, and Tuesday was a chance for ECU students to network.

Tuesday was the first day of the two-day pharma conference at the campus student center offering information, discussions and chances to network with others in the industry.

Around 55 companies were there with 180 attendees representing the pharma industry and academic institutions.

There were also breakout sessions covering topics like the growing industry here in eastern North Carolina.
