GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – East Carolina Univerity’s famous winter tradition is back Thursday night, and one of WITN’s meteorologists is participating.
ECU’s Polar Plunge is returning for the 28th year. Tonight, at 6 p.m., students faculty, and staff will take the plunge at the Eakin Student Recreation Center into the water of the ESRC outdoor pool.
The first 1,000 participants will get a t-shirt designed specifically for the polar bear plunge.
Also tonight, WITN Chief Meteorologist Zach Holder will be live outside at the polar bear plunge to provide this evening’s weather forecast.
He will also be taking part in the plunge, so stay tuned for that!
