KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – A Kinston man is facing multiple gun charges after police say fired a shot inside a home on Friday.
Sean Croom is charged with three counts of assault by pointing a gun, discharging a firearm within enclosure to incide fear, false imprisonment, communicating threats, and possession of a firearm by felon.
Police say around midnight Friday Croom, who is a convicted felon, accused his uncle of stealing his gun. After a fight between the two men, Croom fired a shot while in the living room of the home on Waverly Avenue.
The 50-year-old Croom was found at his home on Carolina Avenue and police say they seized two guns inside that home.
