DEPUTIES: Man wanted for parole violations found hiding in closet

LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man wanted for probation violations was found hiding in a closet, according to sheriff deputies.

Lenoir County deputies were trying to find a probation absconder in the Pink Hill area on Friday. They had no problem tracking down 29-year-old Logan Potter, of La Grange, at the home on Pittman Lane.

Potter was wanted for a felony probation violation and jailed without bond.

While at the home, deputies say they found Gregory Phillips hiding in a closet. The 28-year-old Deep Run man had two orders of arrest for misdemeanor probation violations.

Phillips was found after deputies say they were given permission to search the home.
