Deputies accuse Lenoir County woman of stabbing man in the neck

LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Deputies in one Eastern Carolina County say they put a woman behind bars for stabbing a man in the neck.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Kesha Edmondson at the scene of the stabbing, at the 1600 block of Bonnie Lane, outside of Kinston, around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies say 31-year-old Jaquez Herring was stabbed on the right side of the neck and was transported to ECU Health Medical Center. He’s being treated for his injuries and is now in stable condition, deputies say.

Edmondson was charged with attempted first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
