RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – A New Bern woman tried her luck last week and won a jackpot.

The North Carolina Education Lottery announced that Ruby Rozenblad won a $287,870 jackpot from the Fast Play Progressive game. The lottery said Rozenblad bought her ticket last Tuesday from the Publix on South Glenburnie Road.

She collected her winnings yesterday, and after federal and state taxes, Rozenblad took home $205,828.

The Fast Play jackpot continually grows with each ticket sale, so the Education Lottery said, in the release, that it has exceeded $350,000 as of yesterday afternoon.
