ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) – A traffic crash this morning has caused a big mess in one Eastern Carolina city.

The accident brought down at least three power poles on Forest Park Road in Elizabeth City.

The street, in the area of Church Street Extension, will be closed until crews can replace the poles and repair the multiple lines down.

Authorities say there is no estimated time for when power will be restored in the area.

There is no immediate word on what caused the crash.
